AI SEO for home services means getting your company named when someone asks ChatGPT or Google's AI for a plumber, an AC repair, a cleaner or a mover. AI almost always names someone: 96% of our US home service answers did. What decides who is a page that matches the exact job and area, with the price, the hours and a phone number in plain text, plus complete marketplace profiles in the US. In our UAE data, AI repeated those facts from companies' own pages almost word for word.
How homeowners ask AI before they call someone
Real questions from our two studies, word for word: 50 in the UAE (25 English, 25 Arabic) and 50 in the US (40 English, 10 Spanish), asked on 21 October 2026.
| Question | Market | Language | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| AC repair near Sharjah today? | UAE | English | urgent |
| How much does deep cleaning cost in Dubai and who is good? | UAE | English | price |
| Emergency plumber in Downtown Dubai? | UAE | English | urgent |
| سباك طوارئ في قرية جميرا الدائرية؟ (our translation: emergency plumber in JVC?) | UAE | Arabic | mixed |
| تصليح مكيفات قرب عجمان اليوم؟ (our translation: AC repair near Ajman today?) | UAE | Arabic | mixed |
| Emergency plumber in Charlotte? | Charlotte | English | urgent |
| Most reliable roofing company in San Antonio? | San Antonio | English | compare |
| How much does deep cleaning cost in Denver and who is good? | Denver | English | price |
| Which handyman service in Houston has the best reviews? | Houston | English | trust |
| Mejor plomero de emergencia en Atlanta (our translation: best emergency plumber in Atlanta) | Atlanta | Spanish | mixed |
Home service questions are urgent. 7 of the 25 English UAE questions were "today" or "emergency" questions, and so were 8 of the 40 English US questions. People want a name and a number now, in their area, with a rough price. That is a page most small firms could write in an afternoon, and most have not.
What AI relied on for home service answers: UAE and US
Both studies used the same lens, Claude with Anthropic's live web search tool, so the columns compare fairly. We used Claude because it lists every source; our plans track ChatGPT and Gemini (Google AI). The UAE study also asked Gemini from memory, without search.
| Claude with live search, 50 questions each | UAE (Oct 2026) | US (Oct 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Answers naming at least one company | 90% | 96% |
| Companies per answer | 4.6 | 5.0 |
| Answers that hedged and named no one | 10%, all 5 in Arabic | 4%, both cleaning questions |
| Sources cited | 470, 9.4 per answer | 459, 9.2 per answer |
| Companies' own websites and other sites | 91.3% | 33.6% |
| Directories and marketplaces | 4.9% | 36.6% |
| Review platforms | 0.4% | 6.8% |
| Spam-style pages on unrelated sites | Not a separate type in the UAE coding | 15.3% |
| "Best" or "top" style titles | 22.1% | 12.3% in English answers, 21.7% in Spanish |
| Where it went quiet | Every Arabic emergency plumber question (4 of 4) | Cleaning: 8 English cleaning questions named 16 companies in total |
| Second language | 95.1% of Arabic citations were Arabic pages | 12.0% of sources behind Spanish answers were Spanish pages |
AC repair near Al Barsha today?
Claude, live search, named first: AtoZ Appliances Repair, Jabal Albaz Technical Services, Dubai Cool Experts, with phone numbers and "same-day" offers from their pages.
Gemini, from memory, named: Justlife, Mr. Usta, Urban Company.
No company in common.
What we read from this:
- In the UAE, your own page is the answer. Live answers copied useful facts from company pages: "Rates start at AED 25 per hour" for a part-time maid, an "AED 100 diagnostic" with an engineer "at your door within 60 minutes" for AC repair.
- In the US, marketplaces carry the answer. Each trade had its own: HomeAdvisor for roofing, Thumbtack and Handy for cleaning, Handy and TaskRabbit for handymen.
- Memory sends people to apps. From memory, Gemini named ServiceMarket in 30 of its 44 UAE answers. Live search never named ServiceMarket. If you take jobs through an app, the answer names the app, not you.
- Local pages win urgent questions. Roto-Rooter's own site was cited in all 4 English US emergency plumber answers, and the Charlotte answer quoted its page saying it "answers emergency plumbing calls in Charlotte 24/7, 365 days a year".
Full numbers are in our UAE home services report and US home services report, with the method in the UAE study and the US study.
What a home service company should publish
Schema, mentioned below, is code in a page that tells machines what it is about: this is a plumber, these are the hours, this is the area served. Schema.org has types for most trades, such as Plumber, HVACBusiness, RoofingContractor and MovingCompany.
| Page | What it must say | Why, from our data |
|---|---|---|
| One page per service per area | "AC repair in Al Barsha, Dubai", "Emergency plumber in Charlotte, North Carolina": the job, the areas covered, how fast you arrive. | Answers were built question by question from pages that matched the exact job and area. |
| Hours and same-day policy | 24/7 or real hours, as plain text, same as your Google Business Profile. | All 4 US AC repair answers said they could not confirm who could come today, then listed firms whose pages advertised same-day service. |
| Price lines | A starting price, a diagnostic or call-out fee, a deep clean by home size, a move by bedrooms. | UAE answers repeated starting prices word for word. US cleaning answers had no local prices to use. |
| Phone or WhatsApp in text | The number on every service page, not only in an image or a button. | 21 of 50 UAE answers included a phone or WhatsApp number. |
| Licence and approvals | Your licence or registration number, and any approval you really hold, such as a municipality approval for pest control. | One UAE answer described a pest control firm as "Dubai and Sharjah Municipality-approved". |
| Your real rating | Rating and review count, with the date and where they come from. | One UAE answer quoted a handyman firm "with a 5-star rating based on 33,885 reviews". |
| Arabic or Spanish pages | The urgent jobs first, with the area and city in both scripts or languages. | Claude named no one on all 4 Arabic emergency plumber questions; only 11 of 92 US Spanish sources were Spanish pages. |
Write the city and the state or emirate every time. US answers picked up a carpet cleaner in Denver, North Carolina and a Rentokil page for Los Angeles in Chile; UAE answers pulled in San Francisco Bay Area pages for Business Bay. The technical basics are the entry ticket: in our readiness study, 49.0% of the 245 home services sites Claude cited in the UAE had LocalBusiness schema, and 71.4% passed all seven of our basic checks.
The directories and review sites that matter
- US marketplaces: Thumbtack (31 citations in 13 answers), HomeAdvisor (30 in 15), Handy, Angi (11 in 10) and TaskRabbit. Complete profiles with services, areas and price ranges.
- US review platforms: 6.8% of sources, double the study average. Carpet, HVAC and cleaning answers quoted ratings from Experience.com, and pest and HVAC answers from ConsumerAffairs.
- Yelp, Google and BBB were mentioned, not read. 22 US answers told people to check Yelp, 30 Google reviews or Maps and 12 the Better Business Bureau. None cited a Yelp or BBB page, and 2 cited a Google business page. Keep them healthy, because that is where the customer goes next.
- UAE: directories were only 4.9% of citations. Your own site and your Google Business Profile matter most. Booking apps such as ServiceMarket, Urban Company and JustLife dominate memory answers, so treat them as a channel, not as your name.
Marketing rules that apply to home services
A summary, checked against the sources below on 22 October 2026. It is not legal advice. Licensing rules differ by state, trade and emirate, so check with your licensing board.
- Licence numbers in ads, a state example. Florida Statutes 489.119(5)(b) says the registration or certification number of each contractor "shall appear in each offer of services, business proposal, bid, contract, or advertisement, regardless of medium". Many states have their own version, so read yours before you publish service pages.
- Reviews in the US. The FTC's 2024 rule bans fake reviews, rewards that depend on a review being positive or negative, staff reviews that hide the connection, and threats to get bad reviews removed. The FTC can seek civil penalties against knowing violators. Ask every customer for an honest review instead.
- Google Local Services Ads. Google says its Google Verified badge signals that a business "has passed Google's proprietary screening process", and lists a licence, or a business registration if you are not required to submit a licence, among the requirements for its first ads.
- Claims AI repeats. Whatever your page says, an answer can quote: "24/7", "within 60 minutes", "approved". Only write what you can deliver, because the customer will read it in the answer and hold you to it.
What we would do, month by month
- Day 1. We agree your question list with you: each service, each area, and the urgent, price and trust versions. We ask them on ChatGPT and Gemini (Google AI) and record who gets named today, with screenshots.
- Month 1. Site fixes so AI can read you: search bots allowed, text in the HTML, schema for your trade. Google Business Profile hours and service areas made to match. The first service and area pages, for your most valuable urgent jobs, with prices and the number in text.
- Month 2. More service and area pages. Licence and approval lines on every page. A legal review-request routine. On Growth and Authority, the directory clean-up: Thumbtack, HomeAdvisor, Angi and the review platforms made to match your site.
- Month 3. Seasonal pages before your peak. In the UAE, "ac repair dubai" went from 1,600 searches a month in November 2025 to January 2026 up to 4,400 a month from May to July 2026. On Growth, Arabic pages for the urgent jobs and the first outside mentions. A re-check.
- Day 90. We compare your score with day one. You keep going, change the plan or stop.

The audit is 100% credited to month one if you sign within 30 days. Every plan includes traditional SEO and Google Business Profile work, runs month to month with no lock-in and no setup fee, and is 10 to 15% off when you pay yearly. USD details are at adjoltz.com/us; AED prices are on our homepage.
Which plan fits. A one-trade company in one city, selling in English, usually starts on Foundation: your site, your service pages and your Google Business Profile. Marketplace and review clean-up is only in Growth and Authority. In the UAE, Growth fits most firms, because it adds Arabic, where the urgent questions went unanswered, and WhatsApp for your leads, with AI replies and follow-ups on your number.
How we work. Adjoltz is a Dubai team (Adjoltz FZE, Ajman Free Zone licence 58339), with no office outside the UAE. We work remotely on WhatsApp and email, hold the day-one and day-90 reviews on video calls, and invoice in USD or AED from the UAE. We need access to your website, Google Search Console and Google Business Profile, your real prices, and one person who approves pages quickly. We write in English, and in Arabic on Growth and Authority. We do not write or track Spanish pages; if many of your customers ask in Spanish, add a native Spanish writer.
Our guarantee. In the first 30 days of any plan, if ChatGPT, Gemini (Google AI) or Google's AI answers do not name you for at least 3 commercial questions on the list you approved, or you are unhappy for any other reason, we refund 100% of what you paid, in cash, within 7 working days. No lock-in after that. The rules are on our guarantee page.
What we don't promise
- That you will be the first name ChatGPT or Gemini gives. No one controls those answers, and they change from day to day.
- Guaranteed Google rankings.
- Calls, jobs or bookings.
- Paid spots on "best contractor" lists, or fake or paid reviews.
- Licensing or legal advice. Your licensing board has the last word.
- Spanish pages, an office outside the UAE, or a partnership with OpenAI, Google or Anthropic. We have none.
