AI SEO in Canada means getting your business named inside the answer when someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Google's AI Overviews which roofer, accountant, dentist or immigration consultant to use. The work is to find the exact questions your buyers ask, publish the clearest answer to each, and make sure the Canadian sites AI reads say the same thing about you.
Adjoltz does this remotely from Dubai, in English, with traditional SEO included, from USD 1,249 a month, month to month. We do not write French, so for Quebec you supply the French pages. In the first 30 days, if AI does not name you for at least 3 commercial questions, or you are unhappy for any other reason, we refund 100% of what you paid.
How many Canadians use AI, and which tools?
Statistics Canada has no recent figure for AI use across the whole population: its internet use survey last ran in 2022. The figures above are the best official ones: workers and businesses. Some details matter for marketing:
- Your competitors are adopting. Among businesses that used AI, 28.2% used virtual agents or chatbots. Urban businesses used AI more than twice as often as rural ones (21.0% against 9.9%).
- Google still runs most searches. It had 85.3% in September 2026. Bing had 10.06%, a bigger share than in most of the markets we cover, so we check how your site looks to Bing as well.
- Copilot and Claude matter a little more here. Microsoft Copilot had 6.33% of AI chatbot referrals and Claude 2.21%, both higher than in the UAE. Our plans track ChatGPT and Gemini (Google AI), but the fixes we make are what any assistant that searches the web reads.
Google's AI answers in Canada, in English and French
Google brought AI Overviews to Canada on 28 October 2024, and said at the time that French was not supported. AI Mode arrived in English on 21 August 2025 and in French on 14 October 2025. Since 10 April 2026, AI Mode can find and book restaurant tables in Canada through partners including OpenTable and Libro.
For a bilingual market, that sequence matters. The French versions of Google's AI features came later, and an AI answer in French is built from French pages. A Quebec business with English pages only is invisible to a buyer who asks in French. That brings us to the law.
Quebec: French is not optional
Quebec's language office (OQLF) is clear. Its guide for businesses says commercial material must be written at least in French, whatever the medium, and that this includes websites and social media (our translation from the French). Another language is allowed only if French appears at least equally, and the rule applies even when a third party produced the content. Since 1 June 2025, stricter rules also apply to signs and to business names and trademarks.
What this means with us. Our team writes English and Arabic, not French. If your business is in Quebec, the French pages have to exist anyway. We can handle the English pages, the technical work, tracking and outside mentions, while you or your translator supply the French. If Quebec is your main market and French is your main language, a French-language agency is probably the better fit, and we would rather say so now.
Canadian rules on reviews and claims
AI reads your reviews and claims as text, and Canadian law covers both:
- Misleading claims. Section 74.01 of the Competition Act makes it reviewable conduct to make "a representation to the public that is false or misleading in a material respect." Advertising a price that can't be paid because of fixed extra fees counts too. Cineplex was ordered to pay more than $38.9 million over a mandatory online booking fee, and lost its appeal in January 2026.
- Penalties are large. For a company, up to the greater of $10 million ($15 million for a repeat) and three times the benefit or 3% of worldwide gross revenues.
- Anyone can now go to the Tribunal. Since 20 June 2025, private parties, not only the Competition Bureau, can apply to the Competition Tribunal over deceptive marketing.
- Reviews must be real. The Bureau's guidance says to "base any reviews and testimonials on actual experience." In 2015 Bell agreed to pay a $1.25 million penalty after employees were encouraged to post positive app reviews without saying they worked for Bell. Section 74.02 also controls how testimonials are published.
- Emails and texts need consent. Section 6 of Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation bans commercial electronic messages without express or implied consent. If your review requests go out by email or text, they need to fit that rule.
Where AI looks for "best X near me" answers in Canada
In our study of 500 UAE buyer questions, 79.4% of the sources AI cited were businesses' own sites and other websites, 9.5% were directories and listings, and 38% had a "best" or "top" style title. We have not run the same study in Canada yet. These are the Canadian places where reviews, listings and official records live, which is what live search finds:
| Category | Reviews and listings | Official record a buyer, or an AI, can check |
|---|---|---|
| Home services and trades | HomeStars (its home page showed 982,633 reviews when we checked), Yelp, BBB, Google reviews | Provincial licensing where your trade needs it |
| Immigration consultants | Google reviews, Yelp | The College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants, which licenses consultants |
| Lawyers | Google reviews, Yelp | Provincial law societies, such as the Law Society of Ontario's directory |
| Doctors and dentists | Google reviews, Yelp | Provincial colleges, such as the CPSO physician register and the RCDSO's Find a Dentist in Ontario |
| Real estate | REALTOR.ca, Google reviews | Provincial real estate regulators |
| Restaurants | Yelp, Google reviews; AI Mode bookings through OpenTable and Libro | None needed |
| Local selling | Kijiji | None needed |
One Canadian quirk: since August 2023, Meta has blocked news on Facebook and Instagram in Canada under the Online News Act. Local press coverage still sits on the open web, where AI reads it, but it no longer spreads on Meta. A mention in a local outlet still counts for AI answers; just don't expect it to travel on Facebook.
Questions Canadian buyers ask, and what gets a business named
Examples of the questions we put on a Canadian client's list. These are not recorded AI answers.
| Buyer question | What your page needs to say |
|---|---|
| "Which immigration consultant in Toronto does Express Entry for a flat fee?" | Your CICC licence number, the flat fee in dollars, what it covers, typical timelines and who you don't take on |
| "Best roofer in Calgary for hail damage insurance claims?" | How you handle the claim step by step, warranty terms, the areas you cover, and a HomeStars profile that says the same |
| "Accountant in Vancouver for a US citizen living in Canada?" | A page on cross-border filing: what you prepare, fees, deadlines, and your professional designation |
| "Emergency dentist in Mississauga open on Saturdays?" | Real Saturday hours, what counts as an emergency, price ranges, and the dentists' registration with the provincial college |
| "Restaurant avec terrasse pour 10 personnes sur le Plateau?" (Montreal, asked in French) | A French page with group size, terrace season, menu prices and booking, kept the same on Google and your booking partner. You supply the French |
The more specific the question, the fewer pages answer it. "Best accountant in Vancouver" goes to whoever the lists rank; "US citizen living in Canada" goes to the page that says exactly that.
How we work with Canadian clients from Dubai
- Remote, and mostly written. We have no Canadian office. Toronto is 8 hours behind Dubai during daylight time and 9 in winter; Vancouver is 11 and 12. Our late afternoon is your early morning in Toronto, so most work runs on WhatsApp, email and the monthly report, with video calls for the day-one and day-90 reviews, booked at a time that suits both sides.
- Canadian English. Pages use Canadian spelling, dollar prices and provinces, and your real licence and registration numbers.
- Invoicing. Adjoltz FZE invoices in USD from the UAE. Under the Excise Tax Act, services bought from abroad for use only in commercial activities are generally excluded from self-assessment, but businesses with exempt activities, such as many health and financial firms, may have to self-assess GST. Your accountant will know.
- What we need from you. Access to your website, Search Console and Google Business Profile, your real prices and registration numbers, and one person who can approve pages quickly.
Plans and prices in USD
The same fixed prices we publish at adjoltz.com/us. Traditional SEO is included in every plan, and every plan tracks ChatGPT and Gemini (Google AI).
| AI Visibility Audit | Foundation | Growth | Authority | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price | USD 549, one time, 100% credited to month one if you sign within 30 days | USD 1,249 a month | USD 2,349 a month | USD 4,399 a month |
| Questions tracked | 30 buyer questions | 25, one market and one language | 40 + 40 (English + Arabic) | 60 + 60 (English + Arabic) |
| Re-checks | One full check, ready in 10 working days | Monthly | Every 2 weeks | Weekly |
| Pages written or refreshed | A 90-day plan your team can follow | 100 a month | 200 a month | 300 a month |
| Outside mentions | Which websites AI trusts in your industry | Not included | Every 2 months | Every month |
Month to month, no lock-in, no setup fee, 10 to 15% off when you pay yearly. For most Canadian businesses Foundation, in English, is the right plan. Growth and Authority add Arabic, which helps only if you sell to Arabic speakers; they do not add French. The free AI check costs nothing: 10 real buyer questions on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI, with the result on WhatsApp in about 10 minutes during Dubai working hours.
The guarantee, and what we don't promise
In the first 30 days of any plan, if ChatGPT, Gemini (Google AI) or Google's AI answers do not name you for at least 3 commercial questions on the list you approved, or you are unhappy for any other reason, we refund 100% of what you paid, in cash, within 7 working days. The full rules are on our guarantee page.
ChatGPT now sells ads in many countries, and OpenAI says "advertising does not influence the answers ChatGPT provides." Nobody sells a place inside the answer, so we don't promise:
- "You'll be first on ChatGPT"
- Guaranteed Google rankings
- French pages: we don't write them
- Paid spots in "best of" lists, or reviews that aren't real
- A Canadian office, or a partnership with OpenAI or Google. We have neither
