AI SEO in India means getting your business named inside the answer when someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Google's AI Mode which hospital, college, developer or firm to choose. India is ChatGPT's second-largest market, and Google launched AI Mode in India before any other country outside the US. The work is to find the exact questions your buyers ask, publish the clearest answer to each, and make sure the sites AI reads say the same thing about you.
Adjoltz does this remotely from Dubai, in English, and in Arabic for Indian businesses that sell to the Gulf, from USD 1,249 a month, month to month. In the first 30 days, if AI does not name you for at least 3 commercial questions, or you are unhappy for any other reason, we refund 100% of what you paid.
How many Indians use AI, and which tools?
The share looks low and the numbers look huge, and both are true: 18.5% of a very large working-age population is a very large number of people. What matters more for a business is how fast the AI companies are moving to reach the rest:
- Cheap and free AI plans. OpenAI launched ChatGPT Go in India in August 2025 at ₹399 a month, with UPI payments. Airtel offered a free 12-month Perplexity Pro subscription to its 360 million customers in July 2025. Google made its AI Pro plan free for 18 months for Jio Unlimited 5G users, starting with those aged 18 to 25, in October 2025.
- Google search is almost everything. Google had 96.63% of Indian searches in September 2026. AI Overviews came to India in English and Hindi in August 2024, and Google says that in its biggest markets, the US and India, AI Overviews drive over a 10% increase in use of Google for the queries that show them.
- AI Mode came here first. Google says India was the first country outside the US to get AI Mode: as a Labs test in June 2025, for everyone in July 2025, in Hindi in September 2025, and in Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu in October 2025.
- Voice and camera. Google says more people use Google Lens in India every month than in any other country, that India is its largest user base for voice and visual search, and that Indian users listen to AI Overviews more often than people elsewhere.
- ChatGPT now has ads in India. Self-service ChatGPT ads opened to advertisers in India on 31 August 2026, shown only on the Free and Go plans. OpenAI says "advertising does not influence the answers ChatGPT provides."
Who our plans suit in India, and who they don't
We price in USD, and we are honest about what that means in India. A plan from USD 1,249 a month pays back when one customer is worth a lot. It does not pay back for a neighbourhood shop.
A good fit
- Hospitals and clinics with international or high-value patients
- Universities, schools and coaching brands with high fees
- Property developers selling to buyers in India and the Gulf
- Exporters, manufacturers and B2B service firms
- Software and services companies selling abroad
Probably not a fit
- Businesses whose buyers mostly ask in Hindi, Tamil or another Indian language: we write English and Arabic only
- Small local shops where each sale is small
- Anyone who wants guaranteed rankings or paid reviews

Selling to the Gulf from India
This is where a Dubai team is most useful to an Indian business. India's Ministry of External Affairs counts 4,344,008 Indians in the UAE, 2,750,551 in Saudi Arabia, 1,038,745 in Kuwait, 830,491 in Qatar, 678,837 in Oman and 320,226 in Bahrain, as of January 2026: nearly 10 million in the six Gulf countries. Add Gulf Arab buyers looking for treatment, education or property in India, and many questions about Indian businesses are asked from the Gulf, in English and in Arabic.
Arabic answers are thin. In our study of 250 Arabic buyer questions about UAE businesses, Arabic answers named 3.7 businesses on average against 4.9 in English, and 90.2% of the sources behind them were Arabic pages. An Indian hospital or university with no Arabic page has little chance of being named when an Omani or Emirati family asks in Arabic. Our Growth and Authority plans cover English and Arabic, written by our team for Gulf readers.
Where AI looks for "best X in my city" answers in India
In our UAE study, 79.4% of the sources AI cited were businesses' own sites and other websites, 9.5% were directories and listings, and 38% had a "best" or "top" style title. We have not run the same study in India yet. These are the Indian places where listings, reviews and official records live, which is what live search finds:
| Category | Reviews and listings | Official record a buyer, or an AI, can check |
|---|---|---|
| Doctors and hospitals | Practo, Google reviews | The National Medical Commission's Indian Medical Register |
| Restaurants | Zomato, Swiggy, Google reviews | None needed |
| Real estate | Magicbricks, 99acres, Google reviews | State RERA portals, such as MahaRERA in Maharashtra |
| Local services | Justdial, Sulekha, Google reviews | None needed |
| Any business | Google Business Profile | Your company and professional registrations, shown on your own site |
For a project or a clinic, put the registration number on the page itself: the RERA number on each project page, doctors' registration details on each doctor page. A follow-up question like "is this project RERA registered?" is easiest to answer when the number is on your own site.
Indian rules on claims, endorsements and reviews
- A false guarantee is a misleading ad. The Consumer Protection Act 2019 defines a misleading advertisement to include one that "gives a false guarantee." The penalty can reach ₹10 lakh, and ₹50 lakh for each later breach. This is one reason we never promise rankings, and why our guarantee is about your money.
- Claims must be backed up. The CCPA's 2022 guidelines say factual claims must be "capable of substantiation," endorsements must reflect a "genuine, reasonably current opinion," and any "material connection" between a brand and an endorser must be fully disclosed.
- Fake reviews are a dark pattern. The 2023 dark patterns guidelines list "disguised advertisement," which includes ads made to look like user-generated content.
- Coming in January 2027. The E-Commerce Amendment Rules 2026 require sponsored listings to be clearly marked, ban manipulating search results, and require platforms to show seller ratings before purchase and explain their main ranking factors.
Questions Indian buyers ask, and what gets a business named
Examples of the questions we put on an Indian client's list. These are not recorded AI answers.
| Buyer question | What your page needs to say |
|---|---|
| "Which hospital in Chennai does robotic knee replacement for patients from Oman, and what does it cost?" | An international patients page in English and Arabic: package price, length of stay, what is included, how to arrange the trip |
| "2BHK flats in Pune near Hinjewadi under ₹80 lakh, RERA registered?" | A project page with the MahaRERA number, real prices, carpet areas and the possession date |
| "CA firm in Bengaluru for a US startup setting up an Indian subsidiary?" | The scope, fees, timeline, and the partners' ICAI membership |
| "Best university in India for engineering for a student from Dubai?" | A page for Gulf applicants: admission route, fees, hostel, and answers parents ask, in English and Arabic |
| "Ayurveda centre in Kerala for a 14-day treatment, with a stay, for guests from the UAE?" | Package prices, what each day includes, who it is not for, and how guests from the Gulf book |
How we work with Indian clients from Dubai
- Remote, same working day. We have no Indian office. India is 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of Dubai, so our hours overlap almost fully. Day to day we use WhatsApp and email; the day-one and day-90 reviews are video calls.
- English and Arabic. Indian English for Indian buyers, with prices in rupees; Arabic written for Gulf readers.
- Invoicing. Adjoltz FZE invoices in USD from the UAE. Ask your CA how GST and tax deduction at source apply to services bought from abroad in your case.

The guarantee, and what we don't promise
In the first 30 days of any plan, if ChatGPT, Gemini (Google AI) or Google's AI answers do not name you for at least 3 commercial questions on the list you approved, or you are unhappy for any other reason, we refund 100% of what you paid, in cash, within 7 working days. The full rules are on our guarantee page. OpenAI says placement in ChatGPT search "is not guaranteed," so we don't promise:
- "You'll be first on ChatGPT"
- Guaranteed Google rankings
- Pages in Hindi or other Indian languages
- Paid spots in "best of" lists, or fake reviews
- An Indian office, or a partnership with OpenAI or Google. We have neither
