A clinic gets named by ChatGPT and Gemini (Google AI) when it has a clear page for the exact question a patient asks, in English and Arabic, with real prices, named doctors and insurance lists, and when reviews and directories agree. Patients rarely stop at "best clinic in Dubai". They ask about their own rash, their own budget, their own insurance card. Every page also has to follow the health regulator's advertising rules, so compliance is built in from day one.
What patients actually ask AI before they book
This is our starting list for clinics. We adapt it to your specialty, branches and area, and you approve the final list before we track anything. Few are "best clinic" questions. Most are about one person's problem.

How AI decides which clinic to name
An AI answer is not ten links. In the answers we check, ChatGPT and Gemini usually name about three clinics, then stop. Four things decide who makes the cut.
- Exact-match pages win specific questions. Google says its AI runs several related searches across subtopics before answering, which it calls "query fan-out". The rash question splits into the condition, the specialist, the area and the price. In our search for an Arabic-speaking female dermatologist for melasma, the pages that matched were doctor profiles listing languages spoken.
- "Best" answers lean on lists. In our search, our search tool's AI summary built its "best dermatologist" names mostly from one clinic's self-written list. For "best dental clinic" in Arabic, it named a clinic with no page of its own in the results, because three outside lists included it.
- The follow-up question is where clinics lose. Patients ask "is the first one really good?" AI sums up reviews in one line: "most patients praise the staff, but some mention long waits." In our experience, 92% happy reviews and 8% angry ones can read close to 50/50 in that line.
- The facts must match everywhere. Name, branches, hours, doctors, insurance and prices should be identical on your site, Google Business Profile, booking platforms and Instagram bio. When they disagree, AI picks one, or skips you, and patients arrive at a locked door.
What we saw in search results on 21 Oct 2026
We ran 9 of the questions above through a web search tool on 21 Oct 2026. This is what search returned, not what ChatGPT answered, but AI tools that search the web pick sources from pools like this. Our tool searches from outside the UAE and hides the map pack, so a phone in Dubai will look different.
| Question we searched | What came up | What stood out |
|---|---|---|
| Best dermatologist in Dubai for acne scars | 7 clinic or doctor pages, 1 booking platform, 1 media list | A clinic's own "best dermatologists" list ranked its own doctor first. |
| Invisalign cost Dubai | 9 clinic price pages | All in AED, 6 of 9 titles with "2026" in them. |
| Emergency dentist open now JLT | 9 clinic pages | Two clinics took 2 spots each. |
| How to check if a clinic is DHA licensed | Directories, clinic blogs, a software vendor, media | No DHA page, though the answer lives on DHA's own registry. |
| Where to dissolve lip filler Dubai | 9 clinic pages | Two titles used the word "best". |
| Female dermatologist, Arabic speaking, melasma | 8 hospital and clinic pages, 1 directory, 1 off-topic Wikipedia page | Doctor profiles with languages listed won. |
| أفضل عيادة أسنان في دبي | 6 Arabic hospital and clinic pages, 3 lists | 6 of 9 titles were almost exactly "best dental clinic in Dubai". |
| كم سعر زراعة الأسنان في دبي | 9 clinics' own Arabic pages | Prices of AED 4,000 to 10,000 per implant. One clinic held 3 spots. |
| Dental implant price Dubai with insurance | 5 directories and booking platforms, 4 clinics | Adding "insurance" brought in the directories. |
- Clinics' own pages dominate. 64 of 82 results (78%) were clinic, hospital or doctor pages. On price and treatment questions it was 9 of 9 every time. Publishing works.
- Directories win the trust and insurance questions. They took 10 of 82 results, mostly on licence checks and insurance.
- No government pages, no Reddit, no review sites appeared in any of the 82 results.
The rules that shape what a clinic can publish
Checked against official sources on 21 Oct 2026. This is a summary, not legal advice. Confirm with your licensing authority before you publish.
- Health ads need a licence. Cabinet Resolution No. 7 of 2007 says nothing medical may be advertised without prior authorisation from the Ministry of Health. MOHAP's current health advertisement licence service lists social media and websites among the covered formats, and the licence number must appear on the approved material.
- Dubai has its own standard. DHA's Standards for Medical Advertisement Content on Social Media (2022) were re-sent to every private facility in an August 2026 circular. The Medical Director must approve content naming the facility, which is responsible for what is filmed on its premises.
- Banned words. The DHA standard lists 21 terms that must not be used, including "the best", "safest", "100%", "assured success" and "immediate results".
- Before and after photos must show the same person with the same lens and no editing, with the statement that results may vary, and the risks. Patient testimonials need written consent. Claims of being better than another clinic are not allowed unless scientifically proven.
- Prices are allowed, including insurance and instalment plans, but must be accurate and state their conditions.
- Abu Dhabi clinics log health ads with the Department of Health through TAMM. Clinics in Dubai Healthcare City follow DHCR's own advertising policy.
- Patients can check you. DHA's Sheryan medical registry lets anyone search licensed facilities and professionals.
Whether a purely educational page counts as an ad is a question for your regulator. Our rule: any page that promotes a service, price or offer goes through ad approval.
The pages a clinic needs
Schema is code in the page that tells Google and AI what the page is: a clinic, a doctor, a procedure, a price. Every page goes through your medical director, and the regulator's approval step where it applies, before it goes live.
| Page | Example title | What it must include | Schema |
|---|---|---|---|
| Treatment and price | Invisalign in Dubai Marina: price range, visits and what's included | A real AED range, what it covers, number of visits, who treats you, insurance cover, date updated | MedicalProcedure, Offer, MedicalWebPage with reviewedBy and lastReviewed |
| Doctor profile | Dr. [Name], Consultant Dermatologist, DHA licensed | Licence type, languages, gender, conditions treated, clinic days, qualifications | IndividualPhysician with practicesAt, medicalSpecialty |
| Situation page | Itchy red rash after the gym: when to see a dermatologist in Dubai | Common causes in plain words, signs it is urgent, what the first visit involves, first consult cost, the reviewing doctor | MedicalWebPage, about MedicalCondition |
| Insurance | Insurance we accept at our JLT and Al Barsha branches | Each insurer and network, direct billing or claim back, co-pay notes, date checked | MedicalClinic with healthPlanNetworkId |
| Urgent care and hours | Emergency dentist in JLT: open until 11pm, Friday included | Real hours per branch, walk-in or booking, what counts as an emergency | Dentist with openingHoursSpecification |
| Arabic twin | زراعة الأسنان في دبي مارينا: الأسعار والخطوات | The same facts, written in Arabic by a person, with the doctor's Arabic name | The same schema, inLanguage ar, linked to the English page with hreflang |
Two schema facts most agencies skip. Google says a business that controls the reviews about itself can't get review stars on its LocalBusiness or Organization pages, so stars in your own code won't show. And Google shows FAQ rich results only for well-known, authoritative government and health sites, so most clinics won't get the drop-down, though FAQ code still helps machines read the page.
Reviews and reputation
For a clinic, reviews are the raw material AI uses to answer "is this clinic good?" Start with a complete Google Business Profile for every branch. Then the directories that showed up in our searches: Zavis, Bookimed, BestDentists.ae and Practo, mostly on insurance and licence questions. Keep those profiles identical to your site. Reviews that name the doctor and the treatment ("Dr. Sara did my root canal, no pain") match far more questions than "great clinic". A calm reply to a 1-star review gives AI a second sentence to quote. Google allows you to ask patients for honest reviews, but not to offer discounts for them or ask only happy patients. Quoting a patient in your own ads needs their written consent under the DHA standard.
Why Arabic matters for clinics
- The Arabic race has started in dental. In our two Arabic dental searches, clinics' and hospitals' own Arabic pages took 15 of 18 results, and the implant pages quoted prices of AED 4,000 to 10,000. A clinic with no Arabic pages is already behind.
- AI reads your page code, not your browser translation. A translation plugin that changes the page in the visitor's browser leaves no Arabic text for ChatGPT to read. Real Arabic pages, linked to their English twins with hreflang, do.
- We have seen ChatGPT cite Arabic. On 20 and 21 Oct 2026, our own tracking on adjoltz.com counted 4 visits from ChatGPT links. One landed on an Arabic blog post.
- Wrong Arabic gets repeated too. On our team call the example was an Arabic page promising to clear a pimple in half a day. If a false promise is the only Arabic answer online, AI may repeat it. In health that is a safety problem and a licence problem, so Arabic pages get the same medical review as English ones.
Common mistakes
- "Price on request" on every treatment. AI can't quote a price you never published, so it quotes a competitor or a directory.
- "Best" in every title. DHA's social media standard bans "the best" and 20 other terms. Compete on facts: prices, doctors, languages, insurance.
- Doctor pages with a photo and nothing else. No languages, no licence, no conditions treated.
- Keyword names on Google. "Best Dental Clinic Dubai Marina Implants" breaks Google's naming rules and can get a profile suspended.
- Blocking AI by accident. OpenAI says sites that want to appear in ChatGPT search should allow its OAI-SearchBot crawler. We check this on day one.
