AI SEO in Houston means getting your business named when someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Google's AI which roofer, lawyer, agent or school to choose. In our study, AI named at least one business in 24 of 25 Houston answers. Nearly half the sources (48.2%) were directories and marketplaces: HomeAdvisor, Thumbtack, Handy, Avvo, Simplifyem and, for the Spanish questions, Winnie's and GreatSchools' Spanish pages. For a Houston business, the directory profile is often the page AI actually reads.
Adjoltz does this work remotely from Dubai, with traditional SEO included, from USD 1,249 a month, month to month. In the first 30 days, if AI does not name you for at least 3 commercial questions, or you are unhappy for any other reason, we refund 100% of what you paid.
What we asked AI about Houston
On 21 October 2026 we sent 500 real buyer questions to Claude with Anthropic's live web search tool, one call per question, word for word, and saved every answer and every source. 25 were about Houston: 5 each about real estate, law firms, home services and car services, all in English, plus 5 about schools and childcare in Spanish.
When AI named businesses, it named 5.7 on average. 14% of the names were individual people, mostly lawyers and agents.
Read this as a sample, not a verdict. 25 questions is a small number. They were asked once, on one day, to one assistant. Use them to see how AI builds its Houston answers, not to judge Houston against other cities. We do not rank cities, and the study page explains why.
Where AI got its Houston answers
The 25 answers listed 228 sources from 115 different websites:
| Type of source | Houston (228 sources) | All 500 answers (4,587 sources) |
|---|---|---|
| Directories, marketplaces and "best of" list sites | 48.2% | 37.3% |
| Businesses' own websites and other sites | 26.3% | 29.0% |
| Off-topic hosts (spam-style pages on unrelated sites) | 14.0% | 15.9% |
| News, city media and guides | 4.8% | 11.0% |
| Review platforms | 1.8% | 3.2% |
| Forums and press releases | 4.8% | 3.8% (with government sites and Wikipedia) |
The directories. HomeAdvisor was cited 14 times in 4 answers; for "Most reliable roofing company in Houston?", 9 of 10 sources were its pages. Simplifyem supplied all 9 sources for property management. Handy (9), Thumbtack (8, in 4 answers), Avvo (7, all in the DUI lawyer answer), GreatSchools (5), YourMechanic (5) and HAR.com, the Houston Association of Realtors' site (4), followed.
Law firms' own sites. The employment lawyer answer took 7 of 9 sources from firms' own pages, 5 of them from one firm, which it named first. The personal injury and estate planning answers leaned on firms' pages too.
Thin city media. News was only 4.8% of sources: the Houston Chronicle (4), ABC13 (2) and Inman (2).
Press releases and spam. The apartment locator answer leaned partly on press releases from 2014, and said so. 32 sources came from 20 unrelated websites, in 11 of 25 answers. For "Best place to rent a car in Houston without a credit card?", all 9 were. Yelp was mentioned in 5 answers and cited in none.
Houston questions, and who AI named first
Five of the 25 questions, the business named first and what the answer was built on. Results from one run, not rankings or our recommendation. We did not check whether each business is licensed or still open.
| Question, as asked | Named first | What the answer was built on |
|---|---|---|
| "Most reliable roofing company in Houston?" | All Rite Roofing Systems | 9 of 10 sources were HomeAdvisor pages |
| "Top property management company in Houston" | 1240 Blalock Interests | All 9 were Simplifyem directory pages |
| "Best rental agent or apartment locator in Houston?" | Smart City Locating | 6 business sites and 3 press releases; 17 businesses named |
| "Best place to rent a car in Houston without a credit card?" | Hertz | All 9 were off-topic hosts |
| "Mejor guardería en Houston" (best daycare) | Kiddie Academy | 8 of 9 were directories, most of them in Spanish |
Best house cleaning service in Houston?
The search didn't identify a single "best" Houston cleaning company. It returned marketplaces and guides instead, so the answer depends on what you need.
Mejor guardería en Houston
Winnie lista guarderías como Pequeños Astronautas Tejanos (Glencairn), que funciona como una guardería en casa en español, y varios centros marcados como "Speaks Spanish" en el directorio.
Spanish questions about Houston
The 5 Spanish questions asked for the best private school, the best math tutor, the best daycare, English classes for adults and the best driving school. All 5 were answered in Spanish and all named between 3 and 7 schools or businesses.
By our hand count, 18 of the 45 sources were Spanish-language pages, and two more were Portuguese. Every Spanish answer cited at least one. Most were directories that already publish Spanish versions: Winnie's "Guarderías Infantiles en Houston" pages, GreatSchools' Spanish school profiles, and school and language-course directories in Spanish.
That is why small businesses got named. A home daycare made the list because Winnie marks it as Spanish-speaking. The driving school answer named "Lola Escuela De Manejo" and "Escuela de Manejo BA1", businesses with Spanish in their names, from directory listings. It also warned about a school promising a license in one day.
What this means for a Houston business
- Directory profiles first. Home services: HomeAdvisor and Angi, Thumbtack and Handy. Lawyers: Avvo. Agents: HAR.com and your brokerage profile. Property managers: Simplifyem. Schools and childcare: Winnie and GreatSchools. These were the pages AI read.
- Mark "Spanish spoken" wherever a directory lets you. Several Houston directories already have Spanish versions, so the label travels into Spanish answers. That is how a home daycare got named.
- Then your own page per service. The lawyer answers used firms' own pages: one practice area per page, saying Houston, Texas, the courts and how fees work.
- Don't lean on press releases. The apartment locator answer called its 2014 press releases self-promotional. A current page with your real terms is worth more.
- Answer the niche questions nobody owns. "Rent a car in Houston without a credit card" got only spam. A local agency with a plain page on its deposit and ID rules would face no real competition.
How we work with Houston clients from Dubai
- Remote, and mostly written. We have no office in Houston, or anywhere in the US. Adjoltz is a Dubai team (Adjoltz FZE, Ajman Free Zone licence 58339). Day to day we work on WhatsApp and email. The day-one review and the day-90 review are video calls.
- Time zones. Houston is on Central Time. Dubai is 9 hours ahead of Houston during US daylight saving time (the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November) and 10 hours ahead the rest of the year, because the UAE does not change its clocks. So 9am in Houston is 6pm in Dubai in summer and 7pm in winter. Our working hours barely overlap with yours, so most of the work runs in writing, and calls are booked at a time that suits both sides.
- English, not Spanish. We write in English, and in Arabic on Growth and Authority. We do not write or track Spanish pages. Houston's Spanish answers leaned on Spanish directory pages, so mark your languages there, and if your buyers ask in Spanish, a native Spanish writer is worth adding alongside us.
- Invoicing. Adjoltz FZE invoices in USD from the UAE.
- What we need from you. Access to your website, Google Search Console and Google Business Profile, your real prices, and one person who can approve pages quickly.
Plans and prices in USD
The same fixed prices we publish at adjoltz.com/us. Traditional SEO is included in every plan, and every plan tracks ChatGPT and Gemini (Google AI). Our study used Claude because it lists its sources; our plans track the two assistants most of your buyers use.
| AI Visibility Audit | Foundation | Growth | Authority | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price | USD 549, one time, 100% credited to month one if you sign within 30 days | USD 1,249 a month | USD 2,349 a month | USD 4,399 a month |
| Questions tracked | 30 buyer questions, 3 competitors | 25, one market and one language | 40 + 40 (English + Arabic) | 60 + 60 (English + Arabic) |
| Re-checks | One full check, ready in 10 working days | Monthly | Every 2 weeks | Weekly |
| Pages written or refreshed | A 90-day plan your team can follow | 100 a month | 200 a month | 300 a month |
| Outside mentions | Which websites AI trusts in your industry | Not included | Every 2 months | Every month |
Month to month, no lock-in, no setup fee. 10 to 15% off when you pay yearly. For a business that sells in English only, Foundation is the natural start. Growth and Authority add Arabic, which helps only if you sell to Arabic speakers. The free AI check costs nothing: 10 real buyer questions on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI, with the result on WhatsApp in about 10 minutes during Dubai working hours.
The guarantee, and what we don't promise
In the first 30 days of any plan, if ChatGPT, Gemini (Google AI) or Google's AI answers do not name you for at least 3 commercial questions on the list you approved, or you are unhappy for any other reason, we refund 100% of what you paid, in cash, within 7 working days. There is no lock-in after that. The full rules are on our guarantee page.
What we promise, in writing
- A fixed list of buyer questions you approve
- A day-one score, with screenshots
- Re-checks on your plan's schedule
- An honest monthly report, even when nothing moved
- A day-90 review where you decide what happens next
What we don't promise
- "You'll be first on ChatGPT." OpenAI says placement "is not guaranteed"
- Guaranteed Google rankings
- Paid spots on "best of" lists
- Fake reviews, or reviews paid for a good rating, which the FTC's 2024 rule bans
- Spanish pages. We don't write them
- An office in Houston, or a partnership with OpenAI, Google or Anthropic. We have none
