AI SEO for dentists means getting your practice named when a patient asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Google's AI which dentist to book. AI almost always names someone: in our studies, AI with live web search named at least one practice in 49 of 50 UAE dental answers and 46 of 50 US ones. Who gets named depends on the pages and listings that answer the exact question, the insurance plan, the emergency, the price, the office, far more than on a "best dentist" claim.
How patients ask AI before they book a dentist
These questions come word for word from our two studies, run on 21 October 2026. Few of them ask for "the best dentist". Most ask about one person's problem: a plan, a price, a scared child, a tooth that hurts tonight.
| Question, as asked | Market | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Emergency dentist open now near JLT? | UAE, English | Urgent |
| Is there a dental clinic in Business Bay that takes my insurance and is well reviewed? | UAE, English | Trust |
| Best dentist in Dubai for a child who is scared of the dentist? | UAE, English | Specific |
| Which dental clinic in Dubai has female dentists? | UAE, English | Specific |
| أين أجد زراعة أسنان بسعر معقول في الإمارات؟ (our translation: where can I find dental implants at a reasonable price in the UAE?) | UAE, Arabic | Mixed |
| Dentist in Miami that takes Delta Dental and is well reviewed? | US, English | Trust |
| Cheapest dental cleaning without insurance in New York? | US, English | Price |
| Emergency dentist open now in Las Vegas? | US, English | Urgent |
| Where can I get affordable dental implants in Las Vegas? | US, English | Price |
| Dentista que hable español en Nashville con buenas reseñas (our translation: a Spanish-speaking dentist in Nashville with good reviews) | US, Spanish | Mixed |
Only 9 of the 25 English UAE questions and 10 of the 40 English US questions were comparisons. A practice with a homepage and a "services" list has nothing that matches the rest.
What AI relied on for dental answers: UAE and US
Both studies used the same lens here: Claude with Anthropic's live web search, which lists every source. Our client plans track ChatGPT and Gemini (Google AI), the assistants most patients use.
| Dental answers, Claude with live search | UAE (50 questions: 25 English, 25 Arabic) | US (50 questions: 40 English, 10 Spanish) |
|---|---|---|
| Answers naming at least one practice | 98% (49 of 50) | 92% (46 of 50) |
| Practices named per answer, when any | 3.9 | 3.6 |
| Hedged, named no one | 2% (1 answer) | 8% (4 answers) |
| Practices' own and other websites | 88.0% | 36.2% |
| Directories | 7.6% (well-known directories only, so the real share is higher) | 27.5% |
| Review platforms | 1.1% | 8.0% |
| Spam-style pages on unrelated sites | Not a problem in the UAE answers | 17.6%, in 32 of 50 answers |
| Most cited sites | zavis.ai (21), drjoydentalclinic.com (21), practo.com (17) | zocdoc.com (37), affordabledentures.com (32), absolutedental.com (23) |
| Second language | 96.5% of Arabic citations were Arabic pages | 12 of 93 sources behind Spanish answers were Spanish pages |
In the UAE study, a second lens (Gemini from memory, no search) shared even one clinic with live search on only 7 of the 45 questions where both named someone. Checking one assistant tells you little.
What this means for a practice, in our reading:
- Your own pages win when they answer the exact question. In the UAE, the clinic named most often also had the most cited pages. In the US, the repeat names had one page per office and per treatment.
- Insurance questions are answered from directories. For a Sharjah clinic that takes insurance, all 9 sources were zavis.ai pages. For a Miami dentist on Delta Dental, all 9 sources were directories: Zocdoc, Delta Dental's own finder and a health plan's provider list.
- Price is the hole in the US. Price questions named 2.1 practices per answer. Affordable Dentures & Implants, whose own pages showed a starting implant price, was named in all 6 "affordable implants" questions.
- The second language is thin, and it drifts. GYA Dental Center and Oris Dental Center were named 7 times each, all in Arabic. Three Arabic answers described Saudi clinics or results, and a Spanish whitening question for Nashville came back with prices from Spain, Chile and Turkey.
Where can I get affordable dental implants in Las Vegas?
The search turned up one main option: Affordable Dentures & Implants, which has a Las Vegas office. Its Las Vegas dentures page lists dental implants (each) starting at $1385, and the page notes that charges may increase depending on the treatment required.
These results come almost entirely from this one practice's own website, so the pricing and guarantee claims are marketing language rather than independent verification.

What a dental practice should publish
Write these facts as plain text, not inside images or PDFs, so an AI crawler can read them.
| Page | What it must say | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Insurance accepted, per office | Each plan or network by name, in network or not, direct billing or claim back, the date you checked | Insurance answers quoted directory fields. If your list is missing, so are you. |
| Emergency and hours | Real hours per office, same-day policy, the phone number, what counts as an emergency | The JLT emergency answer named one clinic: the one whose page offered same-day emergency appointments. |
| Treatment and price | A starting price or range, what it includes, visits needed, payment plans, date updated | Price questions were the thinnest answers in the US, filled by cost guides and deal sites. |
| Dentist profiles | Degree, licence, recognised specialty if any, languages, days in each office | "Female dentist" and "Spanish-speaking dentist" questions were answered from these fields on directory profiles. |
| One page per office | Full address with city and state, or area and emirate in English and Arabic | JVC was read as Jacksonville. Al Nahda exists in Dubai, Sharjah and Riyadh. |
| Children and nervous patients | Who sees children, how a first visit works, sedation options if you offer them | Both studies asked about a scared child. |
| Second-language pages | The same facts in Arabic (UAE) or Spanish (US), written by a person | Arabic answers used Arabic pages when they existed. Spanish answers mostly had none to use. |
Schema is code in the page that tells machines what the page is: a dentist, its address, its hours. Use the Dentist type for each office. In our readiness study, 47.6% of the dental sites AI cited in the UAE had LocalBusiness schema on the homepage. And let OAI-SearchBot in: OpenAI says sites that want to appear in ChatGPT search should allow it.
The directories and review sites that matter
UAE, per our data
- zavis.ai: 21 citations, the insurance answers
- Practo (17) and Doctify (9)
- HeliumDoc (10, 9 of them in Arabic) and altibbi for Arabic answers
- bestdentists.ae: ranked lists by Dubai area
- Your Google Business Profile, matching all of the above
US, per our data
- Zocdoc: 37 citations in 11 answers
- WebMD's doctor directory (12) and Healthline's (8)
- Each insurer's own finder, such as Delta Dental's
- DentalPlans, the ADA's Find-a-Dentist and Vitals, for language fields
- Your Google Business Profile
Yelp and Google reviews still matter, but not as sources in this lens. 11 US dental answers told patients to check Yelp and none cited a Yelp page; 15 pointed to Google reviews or Maps and 5 cited a Google business page. Patients check those sites next.
Marketing rules that apply to dentists
A summary, checked against the sources below on 22 October 2026. It is not legal advice. Your licensing board or regulator has the final word.
- US, ADA Code section 5.F. No dentist may advertise "in a manner that is false or misleading in any material respect", social media included. That covers claims likely to create an unjustified expectation about results, and superiority claims without reasonable substantiation.
- The ADA names SEO directly. Advisory opinion 5.F.6 says dentists may use search engine optimization, but their websites must be truthful and any SEO techniques "should comport with" the Code. Opinion 5.F.7 says anyone endorsing a product or service must disclose paid partnerships.
- Specialist titles. Under section 5.H, a dentist may announce as a specialist only in recognised specialties, after meeting the education requirements. The ADA also says state law should be consulted; your state dental board's rules bind.
- Patient stories. Under HIPAA, 45 CFR 164.508(a)(3), a practice must get a patient's authorization for any use or disclosure of their health information for marketing, with narrow exceptions. Our working rule: no patient name, photo or story on a page without signed authorization.
- Reviews. The FTC's final rule of 14 August 2024 bans fake reviews, paying for reviews that express a particular sentiment, undisclosed reviews by staff, and using threats to suppress negative reviews. The FTC can seek civil penalties against knowing violators.
- UK. General Dental Council guidance says ads must include your GDC registration number, and a dentist not on a GDC specialist list must not use titles such as Orthodontist. It adds that misleading advertising can be a criminal offence.
- UAE. Dubai's DHA standard for medical ads on social media bans terms such as "the best", "safest", "100%" and "immediate results", and says a facility's official account must show its MOHAP medical advertisement licence number. The detail is on our page on AI SEO for clinics in Dubai.
Compete on facts: plans, hours, prices, languages. That is what AI repeats, and "best" claims are where the rules bite.
What we would do, month by month
- Day 1. We agree the patient questions with you, by office, treatment, insurance and emergency, and record what ChatGPT and Gemini (Google AI) say today, with screenshots. We check that your robots.txt and firewall let the AI search crawlers in.
- Month 1. We fix the basics: page text readable without JavaScript, Dentist schema per office, the same name, address, phone and hours everywhere. We publish the insurance page and the emergency and hours page for each office, then the price pages behind your most valuable questions, and tag links so AI visits can be counted. Day 30 is the guarantee checkpoint.
- Month 2. Dentist profiles with licence and languages, and one page per treatment per office. On Growth and Authority, we clean up your directory profiles (Zocdoc, WebMD and insurer finders in the US; zavis.ai, Practo and HeliumDoc in the UAE) and set up a review request routine inside the FTC rule.
- Month 3. Arabic pages and outside mentions on Growth and Authority. We rewrite pages based on what the answers quoted, and what they got wrong.
- Day 90. We compare your score with day one. You keep going, change the plan or stop.
| AI Visibility Audit | Foundation | Growth | Authority | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| US and rest of world | USD 549, one time | USD 1,249 a month | USD 2,349 a month | USD 4,399 a month |
| UAE and the Gulf | AED 1,950, one time | AED 4,500 a month | AED 8,500 a month | AED 16,000 a month |
| Questions tracked | 30 buyer questions, 3 named competitors | 25, one market and one language | 40 + 40 (English + Arabic) | 60 + 60 (English + Arabic) |
| Re-checks on ChatGPT and Gemini (Google AI) | One full check, ready in 10 working days | Monthly | Every 2 weeks | Weekly |
| Pages written or refreshed | A 90-day plan | 100 a month | 200 a month | 300 a month |
| Reviews and directory clean-up | Which websites AI trusts in your industry | Not included | Included | Included |
| Mentions on trusted outside sites | Not included | Not included | Every 2 months | Every month |
The audit is 100% credited to month one if you sign within 30 days. Every plan includes traditional SEO and Google Business Profile work, runs month to month with no lock-in and no setup fee, and is 10 to 15% off when you pay yearly. USD details are at adjoltz.com/us; AED prices are on our homepage.
Which plan fits. A single-office practice that works in English can start on Foundation. It covers your site, pages and Google Business Profile, not directory clean-up, so your team keeps Zocdoc or Practo current. In the UAE, Growth is the usual fit: Arabic, directory work and our ready question list for clinics. Groups with many offices may need Authority.
How we work. Adjoltz is a Dubai team (Adjoltz FZE, Ajman Free Zone licence 58339) with no office outside the UAE. We work remotely on WhatsApp and email, with video calls for the day-one and day-90 reviews, and invoice in USD or AED from the UAE. We need access to your website, Search Console and Google Business Profile, your real prices and insurance lists, and one person who approves every page. We write in English, and in Arabic on Growth and Authority. We do not write or track Spanish pages, so if many of your patients ask in Spanish, add a native Spanish writer alongside us.
Our guarantee. In the first 30 days of any plan, if ChatGPT, Gemini (Google AI) or Google's AI answers do not name you for at least 3 commercial questions on the list you approved, or you are unhappy for any other reason, we refund 100% of what you paid, in cash, within 7 working days. No lock-in after that. The rules are on our guarantee page.
What we don't promise
- "You'll be first on ChatGPT." OpenAI says placement in ChatGPT search is not guaranteed, and nobody sells a place inside the answer.
- Guaranteed Google rankings, or a number of new patients.
- Paid spots on "best dentist" lists, fake reviews, or reviews paid for a good rating.
- Legal or compliance advice. We write within the rules above and flag risks, and your dentist or compliance lead signs off every page.
- Spanish pages, an office outside the UAE, or a partnership with OpenAI, Google or Anthropic. We have none.
