Does this replace the organiser's badge scanner?

No. Keep using it. The organiser's scanner records a badge into a spreadsheet. Expo Desk is what happens after the scan: your catalogue reaches the visitor, they answer two qualifying questions, and the list is worked for 14 days after the show.

Is messaging visitors on WhatsApp allowed?

Yes, because the visitor sends the first message. Scanning the QR opens WhatsApp on their phone with a message already typed, and they press send. That inbound message is the consent and it opens Meta's 24-hour service window. We never message anyone who has not messaged first, and we never use organiser badge data.

Do we need a WhatsApp Business API account already?

No. Setting one up in your company's name is part of the service, and you keep the number afterwards whether you work with us again or not.

How much does Expo Desk cost?

The fee moves with the number of show days you want us physically on the stand and the size of the list. Request a quote with your show and stand number and you get the exact figure the same day.

How long before the show do we need to book?

Four weeks. Meta takes several days to approve the message templates and the printed QR props need about a week, so a four-week runway is what makes the kit arrive on your stand on time.
